Announcing the 2026 Chapbook Open-reading Period Selection!

A fond thank you everyone who sent manuscripts during our annual chapbook open-reading period. It is always one of our favorite times of year. We are honored to have been entrusted with such rich work to consider.

We are happy to announce that Eric Pankey's Jackstraws has been selected for publication in March. Eric Pankey is the author of many collections of poems and a collection of essays, including For the New Year, winner of the Walt Whitman Award, The Pear as One Example: New and Selected Poems, and recently, The History of the Siege, Vanishments, and Lunar Calendar: New and Selected Prose Poems 1984–2026. His work has been supported by fellowships from John Simon Guggenheim Foundation, The National Endowment for the Arts, the Ingram Merrill Foundation, and the Brown Foundation. He is Heritage Chair in Writing and Professor Emeritus at George Mason University. He lives with his wife, the poet Jennifer Atkinson, in Fairfax, Virginia.
