Isabelle Correa

Exposure Therapy for Overwhelming Feelings of Guilt and Shame

Text a whole
army
of simps
a picture
of the stem
of a pink balloon
& tell them
it’s your nipple.

Take your significant
other
to a dining
in the dark
experience
& (sobbing)
turn on
the lights.

Never
recycle
meditate
text your friend
Did you make it
home safe?

answer
when your mom calls.

Lie
in the bed you made
at the roller skating rink
when at 14
you let Johnny ram
his Dorito dusted
finger inside you
because he asked nicely.

Drag your crimes
out by the ankles
publicly
in an unattractive
poem
screaming
god made me
do it.
