I think I am
who eyes me

in the car’s sidewise
mirror,

image askew
in the rear view of who

I was a nano-second ago.
A was of is.

Silly who-fool.

Review of Amanda Chimera

Mary B. Moore’s Amanda Chimera won Madville Publishing’s Arthur Smith award and appeared January 2025. Other full-length books are Dear If, Flicker, and Book of Snow. Prize-winning chapbooks are Amanda and the Man Soul and Eating the Light. Poems appear in Prairie Schooner, POETRY, New Letters, Birmingham Poetry Review and more. After teaching writing and Shakespeare at Marshall University, she’s retired into writing.
